Welcome to the Fall 2023 Semester

International Business

In International Business, we will be discussing the ways multi-national businesses conduct operations in our rapidly changing business and political environments. We will discuss how they may differ from businesses that choose to maintain their businesses in just one country. Even with that, many domestic businesses may feel the impact of changing taxes, tariffs, or governmental regulation changes. Items such as these need to be considered by a business as they decide whether or not to become an international operation.

We will also learn about the stock market since the stocks of many international businesses are sold here in the United States. This is especially important when you look at what has happened to stock markets around the would in the last few weeks because of world events can have an effect on the value of different international companies.
