Requirements and Policies
Materials Needed- Students will need their district Chromebook, a cover or sleeve, writing utesils.
Homework- Homework will be assigned on a regular basis. Students are responsible for recording assignments in their agenda everyday. In case of an absence, students can refer to a study-buddy or Mrs. Murray’s website. A homework assignment that is handed in on time will receive 2 points. An assignment that is handed in 1 day late will receive 1 point.
Tests/Quizzes- Most tests and most quizzes will be announced ahead of time. Class notes should be reviewed each night, not just the night before a quiz or test. Beware of occasional pop quizzes! Note cards are an excellent study tool!
Grades- Marking-period grades will be based on:
* Tests and quizzes – 35%
* Graded assignments – 45%
(Lab reports, notebook checks, journals, & projects)
* Homework, warm-ups, participation and cooperation in class activities– 20%
Extra Help- Students may receive extra help on Tuesday mornings from 8:30-9:00.
Gradebook Access- Student grades can be accessed through the parent portal in Power School.
