Teaching Experience
This is my fifteenth year in Monroe City School District.
I taught 3rd grade at Lexington for four years.
I taught 3rd & 5th grade for ten years at Sallie Humble.
I received my Bachelors Degree in Biology/ Pre-Medicine from ULM.
Go Warhawks! 
In 2010, I completed my Masters in Teaching from The University of Louisiana.
I continue to take professional development classes and
stay up to date on the best practices in education.
Expectations
I am very excited to be working with your child. I will work to help your child achieve what he/she is capable of and push them to not only meet, but exceed their capabilities. Some characteristics that describe me are caring, energetic, artistic, enthusiastic, devoted, responsible, organized in my own way, and very understanding. I have some of the same expectations for my students. I want them to enjoy learning and maintain a positive attitude. I hope that they will also give their best effort, be responsible for their work and actions and work to be organized. Through this, I hope my students take pride in all that they do and work hard to reach their dreams, whatever they may be. My main expectation, and wish, is that they will learn something new each day and value all that they have learned this school year!

What are a few of my favorite things?
Besides teaching, I also love to create! Whether it’s pottery or graphic design, I love to create. I have been taking part in fine arts since I was a child. I took Honors Art classes in high school and learned to airbrush and do architectural design before I graduated. I took over 30 hours of art in college including, Instructional Art, Acrylic Painting, Wheel throwing ceramics, sculpting, and graphic/digital design.
Art is a passion of mine, and I love to inspire others to “Pick Up a Paint Brush”.
Besides painting, I enjoy listening to music, working out, and creating web pages!
I also enjoy spending time with my two boys and our dog, Mocha.
