ADVANCED SPORTS MARKETING- COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course is an advanced specialized course that can be taken after satisfactory completion of the Sports and Entertainment Marketing course. It is a hands-on project-based course that provides students with the opportunity to use their learned marketing principles in the field of sports to act as a Sports Information Department for Pinelands Regional High School. Students will produce and market activities for simulated athletic events. Emphasis is placed on the functions of marketing/event operations; sponsorship sales; and publicity/media relations. This hands-on course will require students to use computers to work closely with the athletic director, produce sports publications, compile student-athlete bio's, and compile and provide information about our sports teams to the news media and general public as well.

GRADING
Projects/activities and class participation will all be averaged together and will generally be based on a 100-point grading system.
Materials required for each class: Pen/pencil, notebook, and motivation.
