 Good Luck in Third Grade!

 

            To prepare for third grade and keep practicing the skills learned in second grade, here are some things you can do over the summer:

 

  1. Keep a journal of all your summer adventures.

 

  1. Complete the Summer Math Challenge each week.  It is required and will be a grade when you return.  Information is in your report card envelope or you can click here -  SMC Gr. 2 Directions 2023.pdf 

 

  1. Practice your cursive by completing any of the pages we didn’t do in our Handwriting book.

 

  1. Read as many books as you can.  Take the Summer Reading Challenge and read on Literacy Pro and Excite. This is also required and will be a grade when you return.  Information is in your report card envelope or you can click here -  Summmer Reading Challenge - 2 2023.pdf 

 

  1. Practice your Math and Literacy by playing on any of the websites that we used this year like Sumdog.com or Splashmath.com or lalilo.com (Your log in information for the sites we used this year was sent home.)

 

  1. You can continue to play Word Force or the Compassion Project by going to platform.everfi.net (If you need your log in information, email me.)

 

  1. Check out the following links for some fun Reading programs online:

https://www.scholastic.com/summer/home/- Go on a Reading Adventure and play fun games while you read.

 

https://www.barnesandnobleinc.com/our-stores-communities/summer-reading-program/ - Read 8 books, fill out the reading journal, and turn it in at Barnes and Noble for a free book (Click on Summer 2023 Reading Journal)
