Welcome to Second Grade!
I am looking forward to working with you and your child next year in Second Grade. To prepare for Second Grade you will need to complete the Summer Reading Challenge and the Summer Math Challenge. Both challenges are required and will be a grade when your child returns in September. To keep the skills you learned in First Grade fresh in your mind, you need to continue to read and write over the summer. Keeping a summer journal is a good way to practice your writing. If you keep a summer journal, you can bring it in to share with the class in September.
