Math:  The kindergarten mathematics curriculum provides students with mathematical experiences that help them develop number sense and a positive attitude towards mathematics that will continue through their school career and their lives.  We employ a hands-on, problem solving approach.

¿Math Homework:  Our math program provides a homework sheet that complements the math lesson for the day(s).  The homework sheet(s) will be sent home as each lesson is taught.  We encourage you to sit with your child when they complete the math page.  We require all math homework to be completed in pencil, unless otherwise directed.  If your child has difficulty completing the page, please write a brief note on the homework so that the teacher may review the concept in school.  We ask homework to be returned the following day.  However we understand due to demanding schedules it may not be feasible to complete homework every night.  If that is the case, please return the homework when it has been completed.  The purpose of the homework is for you to understand what math concepts your child is learning in school.  The homework is designed to be developmentally appropriate and easy to do, while involving families in their child’s daily learning.
