Participation       

       All students are expected to participate and attempt all activities.  Demonstrating good sportsmanship at all times.

 

Exemption from class – Physical education is required by the NJ Dept. of Education therefore no one is exempt.Parent notes to excuse a student from P.E are acceptable for one class per marking period. If additional time is needed a written note from a doctor must be submitted to the school nurse. Students will be assigned an alternate placement for long-term illness.

 

Make-up work -Physical Education is an activity class, all days missed must be made up by a written summary from a health or fitness article, a completed make up assignment from teacher, or attendance at marking period make-up days (one day/absence).  One assignment is required for each missed day.  If the work is not made up you will receive a zero for that day.

 

Grading- Students will be graded on participation, sportsmanship and improvement. Grading rubric:
