EPhysical Education = 3 marking periods; 1 marking period will be dedicated to health.
Attendance |
* Refer to the student handbook for policies regarding absences.
Late– The 1st late occurrence will equal a verbal warning, the 2nd time you are late to class you will get P.M. detention.
Unprepared – 50% of your grade is based on being prepared for class.
E If you are unprepared 5 times or more per marking period you will fail.
Non-participation – 50% of your grade is based on participation. If you do not participate in class you will get a zero for the day.
Dress Code and Procedures |
Ø All students must wear shorts or sweatpants, a t-shirt, socks and sneakers to class. You are not permitted to wear your uniform shirt for physical education class, doing so is marked as unprepared for class.
Ø You will have 5 minutes at the beginning of the period to change and report to your assigned spot. E If you are not in your assigned spot you will be marked absent or late.
EYOU MUST CHANGE IN THE LOCKER ROOM; ANYONE CAUGHT DRESSING OR UNDRESSING ANYWHERE ELSE WILL BE SENT TO THE DISCIPLINARIANS OFFICE.
ELOCK ALL OF YOUR VALUABLES IN THE LOCKER AND DO NOT SHARE YOUR LOCKER OR LOCKER COMBINATION. ALL LOCKS MUST BE REMOVED AFTER CLASS OR THEY WILL BE CUT OFF.
Ø You will have 5 minutes at the end of the period to change and return to the gym for dismissal.
ÖNO ONE WILL BE PERMITTED TO LEAVE THE GYM AREA BEFORE THE BELL (doing so will result in disciplinary action).
Medically Excused |
A doctor’s note must be presented to the school nurse who will issue a special form to give to your teacher. One copy must be given to the Athletic Director’s secretary and one copy is given to the Physical Education teacher. The student will then receive assignments from the teacher.
Progress Reports |
Students who are not working to their potential will receive a notice on their progress report.
