 Welcome to Our Class!
Who I am:   Hi! My name is Mrs. Gatlin.  I am a wife, mother of three, and your second grade teacher.  I’ve been teaching for over 19 years now and I couldn’t be any happier at this point in my life.  I’m hardworking and sensitive to the needs of children.  I’m a team player and hold high expectations for my parents, students, and myself.

What I Expect from my Students:

I expect students to have positive attitudes that are ready to learn.  I expect each student to participate in all learning experiences.  I also expect students to work hard and succeed. Students should expect to have and complete homework every night except on Fridays.  Students’ homework folders should be checked every evening by an adult and returned daily to school.  We must always remember to never give up!  Together we will succeed!

Star Student:

Every week a new Star Student will be picked to be the helper for the week.

When your child is picked be aware that you as a parent will be responsible for a few things.  I usually go in alphabetical order. They will need to bring family pics, favorite book, and a cool treat to share with the class.  (Ex. Popsicles)
