Course Description: American History is the study of the history of the United States, covering the time period of the Old West until present day.
Homework Policy: Homework is due at the beginning of each class period on the day it is due. Late homework is not accepted.
Make-up Policy: You will not be allowed to make up any work for an unexcused absence unless you have a feather form requesting permission to make up work. All make-up tests will be given the day following the absence in the student only missed the day of the exam. All other tests must be made up within a week of returning to school. Remember it is your responsibility to obtain make-up work.
Grading Policy: Report card grades are determined by adding up total points earned and dividing by total possible points. Most homework and classroom grades are worth up to 50 points each. Tests, writing assignments, and projects are worth 100 - 150 points. Mid-term exams will be worth 200 points. All classes are on the 7 point grading scale.
