Guidelines:

  1. All school policies regarding behavior and appearance are enforced.
  2. You have to take notes in class and maintain a three-ring binder. You will receive numerous handouts throughout the class and a binder will be necessary to keep track of things.  You will need to include loose leaf paper in this binder to take notes on also.
  3. Homework will consist of writing assignments, reading of the documents/articles, and daily reviewing of class notes.
  4. Make-up tests must be completed within two days of your return to school. Make-up tests will be essay exams.  Essays assigned in advance are due the day you return. An unexcused absence on the day of a test or on the day of a DBQ is due will result in a 10 point deduction of your grade.
  5. It is your responsibility to get the notes missed while you are absent.
  6. DBQ’s must be typed or written in ink.
  7. If at any time you need help in the class, come see me.  My planning period is 1st period.  If you wish to see me after school, please let me know.

ATTENDANCE REGULATIONS: Read the “Class Attendance” section of the Tech Bulletin which says in part that “Class attendance is . . . an obligation . . . and all students are expected to attend regularly and PUNCTUALLY.”  A student must not miss more than 10% of class time, whether that is excused or unexcused absences.  If a student does miss more than that, they may be denied college credit for the course.

HONOR CODE AND ACADEMIC MISCONDUCT POLICY: In accordance with the Academic Honor Code, students pledge the following: Being a student of higher standards, I pledge to embody the principles of academic integrity. If it is determined that academic misconduct has occurred, the penalty may range from dismissal from the University to a failing grade in the course. For more details on the honor code, refer to
