Beginner Band

 

The Beginner Band is a class designed for students with little to no music experience or may have limited experience, but have not learned how to play a band instrument. Students will learn the fundamentals of playing a band instrument. We begin by teaching students how to make a characteristic sound on the mouthpiece and gradually move on to learning how to properly assemble, hold, maintain, and play their instruments. We approach learning music as we naturally learn language: we listen, speak, read, and then write.
