My name is Carla Jackson. I was born and raised in Metairie, Louisiana. I attended LSU where I received a bachelors and masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction in Elementary Education. I am 45 years old and have been teaching 3rd grade for 23 years. I am married to John Jackson, and we have two children, Hayden and John Holice. John owns a video production company, John Jackson Productions. Hayden is 13 years old and is in eighth grade. John Holice is 9 years old and is in fifth grade.
I believe that every child that walks into my classroom has the ability to learn. Every child is unique and learns at different paces and in different ways. I will strive to reach each child's needs by using different teaching styles and empowering them to be confident and engaged learners. My goal is for students to leave my classroom and apply these skills to everyday life. It is my desire to make every child in my classroom a lifelong learner.
