- Creates, reshapes, and fully participates in the enhancement of the quality of life, globally.
- Participates in social, cultural, and intellectual interplay among people of different ethnic, racial, and cultural backgrounds through a focus on the humanities.
- Possesses essential technical skills and abilities significant to many aspects of life and work in the 21st century.
- Understands and impacts the increasingly complex technological environment.
STEAM Education is an approach to learning that uses Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics as access points for guiding student inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking. Using STEAM education results in students who take thoughtful risks, engage in experiential learning, persist in problem-solving, embrace collaboration, and work through the creative process. STEAM takes what we do when we open the doors to the real world and places those same practices in our cycles of teaching and learning.
