West New York's six elementary schools provide their students with a wide variety of opportunities to help them be successful. Designated as having Title I School-wide Programs, funds are disseminated throughout the school to address the needs of all the students.
In addition to classroom instruction presented by highly-qualified teachers, these funds support many programs including STEAM, Gifted & Talented Program, Early Literacy Interventions, extended day classes, intramural activities, Peer Leadership & Mediation Programs, parent involvement activities, and many other vital programs that address the needs of the "whole child."
To best assess and then address the needs of our students, periodic testing is scheduled. This testing takes place in many ways, including on an ongoing basis by classroom teachers, district quarterly exams and State assessments.
