All Aboard the 2nd Grade Energy Bus!!!

Behavior Expectations:

 

We have high expectations for our students. All students should work to the best of their potential and contribute in a positive manner to our classroom. The following is a list of rules for 2nd Graders:

 

⦁ Follow directions quickly.
⦁ Work quietly and play safely.
⦁ Raise your hand to speak or leave your seat.
⦁ Make smart choices.
⦁ Keep your dear Teacher happy.

 

Testing & Grades:

 

Testing days will vary depending on when we finish a Math Topic. Those students who do not maintain a “C” or higher in any subject will receive a Failure Notice in his/her GATOR folders once each 9 weeks. Students must have a “75/C” or higher in math and reading in order to pass the 2nd grade.

 

Birthday Parties

 

In 2nd grade, we love to celebrate birthdays! Please contact your child’s homeroom teacher for an appropriate date and time. Due to the importance of instructional time, only cupcakes are allowed.

 

 

NOTE: Students CAN NOT arrive at school prior to 7:30 a.m. and CAN NOT be checked out after 2:45 p.m.

Weekly Study Guide:

 

We want to make sure you are informed of upcoming events and what your child is learning at school. A weekly study guide will come home each Monday in your child’s folder. It will contain what we are doing in each math and any upcoming events or important information. 

 

GATOR Folders:

 

GATOR folders will be sent home every Wednesday with the previous week’s test papers and any important notes. Please review the papers, sign the conduct sheet, and return on Thursday.
