OPEN HOUSE INTRODUCTION 2021-2022

I am delighted to take this opportunity to acquaint you with a few pertinent facts about my teaching methodology so you know how your child is spending time in my room

AS AN ACADEMIC: I am well prepared for AP level work and have taught at the collegiate level.  I have a master's in my primary field (History) with minors in psychology and economics.  I also have 17 years of business background and this is my 30th year at DSHS

AS A DISCIPLINARIAN" I am firm and fair and swift.  I also believe whole heartedly in starting each day in the state of tabula rasa so that no grudges persist and everyone gets another chance.

AS A GUARDIAN: As a guardian of your child I am indefatigable  They will always be mentally, physically, and morally safe in this room.  

AS A TEACHER OF YOUR CHILD .  Your child could't be in better hands, except yours.  my expectations are quite high and I encourage my wards to work UP to meet them.  I turn out students well prepared to enter collegiate study.  I teach the whole package; not just subject matter, but soft skills to make better students and citizens.  But I am tough and demanding and your students may spend time NOT liking me but they will like the courses they are taking and they will come to respect my methods.  I assure you, that if they make the effort their experience in here will be one that prepares them for their future.
