Kindergarten Newsletter

  Our field trip will be on November 6th to Sparkles in Hiram. Parents must come to school for an ID check before meeting us at Sparkles. The field Trip begins around 9:15. After the students arrive and the field trip begins, the doors will be locked and no one will be able to attend. Please get to Sparkles on time. The field trip will end around 1:30. Thank you for your understanding. All students must ride the bus back to school. You may check your child out at school if you would like. Please let us know if you have any questions.

 

 

Our lunch schedule has been pushed up five minutes.

Allen: 11:15-11:45

Raveneau: 11:10- 11:40

Swenson: 11:05- 11:35

If you haven't already, please send in a Ziplock bag with your child's name on it. The bag needs to contain: ( Students spill in Kindergarten and get dirty on the playground)

 

a shirt

 

a pair of pants/shorts

 

change of socks

 

under garments

 

 

 

Don't forget to pack a water bottle and a snack each day for your student.

 

Please check the red communication folder daily and return to school in your child's backpack each morning.

If your child has a doctor's appointment please get an excuse from the doctor's office and send it in the red folder with your student the next day.

 

 

 

 Digital Learning Days (DLD):

Students do not attend school on DLDs. Assignments will be posted on CANVAS for these days. Please contact your teacher if you have any questions.

 

Please use the red folder as the communication folder. If your child is absent please send in a doctor's excuse or a parent note the day your child returns to school. For Frozen Friday, the school is receiving funds through Rev Trac only, please no cash.  (Located on Paulding County website) www.paulding.k12.ga.us

Daily Practice Suggestions:

Practice tying shoes.

Letter Recognition (not in ABC order).

Read books to your child and have them tell you about what happened after reading.

Write numbers 1-50

Counting objects up to 100.

Counting out loud to 100 by 1’s, 5's and 10’s.

 

Classroom Procedures:

Please send a dry snack daily, a water bottle containing secured lid

Please send all money in an envelope, labeled with your child's name and the purpose of the money.

Please check communication folders, and remove items daily.
