Class DOJO:

On the first day of school/Open House/Kindergarten Parent Night, you will receive a log in number for your student to Class DOJO.  This program will allow you to watch the success of your student while at school.

Different homerooms use DOJO in different ways: communicating with parents, a classroom chat, and videos/pictures. We will be using the Minga app once we recieve the liscences. Meanwhile, we will be using DOJO points until we upload Minga. Students can earn PBIS points by being on task, helping others, participating, and many other ways of positive behavior. The students can earn gadgets from the PBIS store for good behavior at the end of each week.

To improve responsibilities, there are red DOJO points.  These would include: Being off task, not prepared for class, respect for others, and many more.  Our goal is for students not to earn red DOJO points, but everybody has a bad day. One red DOJO point is just a learning experience and the student will be redirected.  Two red DOJO points in a day will result a cool off time in the classroom.  Three red DOJO points, the student's parent will be notified by a phone call, DOJO text, or an e-mail. It is very helpful when parents use DOJO as an incentive at home .  Not all teachers use negative points.
