Expected Attitude in  Ms. Noriega’s Class


All students are expected to display a POSITIVE attitude.  The manner in which students conduct themselves will be reflected in their conduct and effort grades. To ensure success, the following class guidelines will be strictly adhered to:

  • Be seated, quiet and ready to work when the bell rings.
  • Bring all necessary materials to class every day.
  • Keep your hands, feet and objects to yourself.
  • Follow directions the FIRST time they are given.
  • Raise hand and wait to be recognized before speaking.
  • Stay in your seat unless permission is granted to leave it.
  • Show consideration, courtesy and respect for others. Remember that everyone’s suggestions are important. This is a place to teach, listen, learn and share ideas.
  • Keep your work neatly organized and your desk area clean.
  • Turn in assignment on time.
  • When the principal, assistant principal or guest enters the room all students will acknowledge that person and continue working quietly.

Behavior that interferes with your learning or the learning of others will not be tolerated. Failure to abide by the above guidelines will result in various disciplinary actions as follows:

  • Warning
  • Loss of classroom privileges /alternate assignment
  • Conduct Cut
  • Parent Contact
  • Detention with a call home
  • Administrative Referral (Principal's Office)
  • Suspensions
