Ms. Coward’s Classroom Rules

  

Truthful               Be honest and truthful; be a person of your word. 

 

Involved               Be a risk taker in a positive manner and be an active participant in class. 

 

Genuine               Be responsible for assigned work and materials.  Complete make-up tests  

                           and missed assignments in a timely manner. 

 

Enthusiastic          Arrive on time with the proper materials needed to succeed. 

 

Respectful            Respect every person in the classroom.  Raise your hand to ask or

                            answer questions.  Remain quiet during daily assignments and especially during testing. 

 

Safe                     Assist in maintaining a clean working environment by not chewing

                            gum, eating, or drinking in the classroom.  Use the equipment efficiently and effectively.        

 

 We will also observe the following classroom rules and procedures each day.

 1. Always respect your authority.
 2. Always bring needed materials to class.
 3. Arrive in class on time with the proper materials needed to succeed.
 4. Be in assigned/designated seat when the bell rings.
 5. Be responsible for assigned work and materials. 
 6. Behave in a respectful manner. 
 7. Read and follow directions
 8. Do not chew gum, eat candy, or drink beverages in class.
 9. Do not groom in class.
10. Sharpen pencils before the tardy bell rings.
11. No talking during class.
12. If you have a question, raise your hand and wait to be recognized.

13. A student who cuts/skips class will not be allowed to make up missed work or exams.  A score of "zero" is immediately recorded for that day.
16. School badges should be worn in class at all times.
17. Students are not permitted to use cellular phones or headphones in class.


Acceptable consequences for violations for class procedure, will include:
1. A reprimand
2. A telephone call to parents
3. A written referral to an administrator
4. A conference with parents.
