The following are the rules and consquencies for my class. These apply to ALL students.
Rules:
Be Respectful.
- Demonstrate pride in self through words, actions, and appearance
- Treat all teachers and classmates kindly and deferentially
- Treat your surroundings, others’ belongings, and the school with consideration
- Do not interrupt teacher or classmates
- Respect the differing perspectives of everyone in the class.
- Remain in your seat during active teaching
Be Prepared.
- Bring all materials to every class – this includes pens/pencils, paper, and assignments. It also includes bellringers.
Be Prompt.
- Be in your seat BEFORE the bell rings
Be Attentive.
- Focus on our class - do not work on other class assignments in here
Be Honest.
- Do your own work – do not cheat or plagiarize.
Special Situations:
Cell Phones: We will follow the state law for cell phones. If a cell phone is visible, the phone rings, or a student is caught on the phone during class, the phone will be taken and given to the office where it will be returned at specific times to the parent or guardian.
Plagiarism/Cheating/AI: The student will receive a zero on the assignment and a conference will be required with the parent or guardian. Additionally, I will seek disciplinary action. No student caught plagiarizing, cheating, or using AI will be allowed to make up the work.
Volatile Behavior: Any threatening or volatile behavior in the classroom will result in an immediate referral to the office.
