Classroom Rules and Activity Expectations
Attached to this sheet is a list of activity expectations. This list outlines all of the activities that we will be engaged in during the school year. It also outlines what I expect from you during these activities and ways for you to ensure that I know that you are working.
Quiet Signal
At any point during an activity or class period, I will raise my right hand and say “One, Two, Three.” Once you see my hand or hear me say “One, Two, Three,” stop what you are doing and give me your undivided attention.
Redo Procedures
Zeroes and substandard work will not be accepted. You will redo assignments until acceptable work of an A, B or C is completed.
Tardy Procedures
If you are tardy to class, enter class quietly and have a seat. See the student handbook for the tardy policy and procedures.
What does it take?
Want an A? How about a B? Will a C get you through? The attributes listed below will let you know what it takes to earn the grade of your choice in my class. Notice that the first three items are the same for each grade and the others differ slightly.

Note taking
Conversation: There should be no talking while we are taking notes.
Help: Raise your hand if you need help. If you are working on a problem and I am helping another student, wait until I finish helping the student that I am with to raise your hand. Continue to work while you wait.
Activity: We will be taking notes from lectures and power points.
Movement: There shouldn’t be any movement while I am teaching. If you need to sharpen your pencil or get a textbook, you should do so once you come into the classroom.
Participation: I will know that you are participating by having your notebook open while you are writing the notes into the notebook.
Class work
Conversation: You may talk with someone in a seat next to you. While you are working, you should only talk about that material that is being covered.
