HOW WE SUPPORT GREATNESS
ACCESS
Every learner deserves an opportunity to engage.
We help students access classroom instruction through appropriate accommodations, instructional supports, visual tools, modeling, scaffolding, and other strategies based on student needs.
INSTRUCTION
Support is intentional.
Students may receive additional modeling, guided practice, small-group instruction, individualized assistance, repetition, reteaching, or differentiated learning opportunities.
GROWTH
Progress matters.
Student learning is monitored through classroom performance, observations, assessments, work samples, skill checks, and individualized progress measures when applicable.
The information we collect helps us determine what is working, where additional support may be needed, and how instruction can be adjusted.
INDEPENDENCE
The goal is not simply to help—it is to help students grow.
We intentionally create opportunities for students to practice problem-solving, communication, self-advocacy, classroom routines, and independent learning skills.
BELONGING
Every student should know: “I belong here.”
Our goal is to cultivate an environment where learners feel valued, respected, included, and confident participating alongside their peers.
WHAT SUPPORT MAY LOOK LIKE
Support will not look exactly the same for every student. Depending on individual needs, students may experience:
- Small-group instruction
- Individualized support
- Reteaching and additional practice
- Visual supports and schedules
- Teacher modeling
- Hands-on learning materials
- Instruction broken into manageable steps
- Accommodations and modifications when appropriate
- Positive reinforcement
- Opportunities for movement or breaks when appropriate
- Assistive or accessibility tools when applicable
- Support with organization and classroom routines
- Opportunities to strengthen independence and self-advocacy
The level and type of support provided is determined by each student's individual educational needs and applicable educational plan.
