Hello
My Students and Parents/Guardians,
Thank you for allowing me the honor of teaching you this year. As my initials spell LAB, I truly love how scientific phenomema affects our society and world. Therefore, I desire to bring this perspective into your academic journey through Environmental Science and Chemisty. We will explore the ways in which written communication and mathematical concepts influence scientific thought. A wise man once stated the following quote: "Science is not finished until it is communicated. " Thus, our classes will explore the various ways that science is communicated through data, discussion, and debate. We will brainstorm how claims, evidence, and reasoning help the scientific community to develop theories and laws. Always remember that science is a human endeavor that you must actively particlpate in each school day to reach your full academic potential through hands-on activities and group work. Looking forward to seeing great things from you this year.
Go, Neville Tigers!
Yours in education,
Dr. Leslie A Birdon, NBCT
