Grading System
Student progress will be assessed through multiple categories that reflect different aspects of language learning. The grading breakdown for World Languages is as follows:
- Tests (30%)
- Homework (30%)
- Quizzes (10%)
- Projects (15%)
- Classwork (15%).
Tests evaluate comprehensive understanding of material covered over extended periods, while homework reinforces daily learning and provides practice outside of class. Quizzes assess ongoing comprehension of recent lessons, and projects allow students to demonstrate their language skills through creative and practical applications. Classwork reflects daily participation, effort, and completion of in-class activities. This balanced approach ensures that students are evaluated on both their knowledge and their consistent engagement with the language learning process. Grades will be updated regularly in the online gradebook so families can monitor their child's progress throughout the marking period.
