The students will be using the enVisions Math 2.0 series which aligns to the school district curriculum and the NJSLA.
In additional to daily small group instruction, the students will have two alternate assignments to complete. Each day, they will have a spiral math activity which will contain between 5-8 problems of previous learned content/ skills. This review is catered to the specific learning and needs of the students. The second assignment that students will complete each day is either an IXL skill, a Brain Teaser, or a Perplexor. The Brain Teaser and Perplexor activities are geared towards developing problem-solving skills, using process of elimination, and reasoning.
Continuous practice, critical thinking and deductive reasoning skills, along with direct instruction of content and skills will facilitate a well rounded and robust learning environment for the students.
