National Business Honor Society
The National Business Honor Society (NBHS) recognizes and promotes academic excellence in business education among high school students. Membership is granted to students who demonstrate outstanding achievement in business courses, leadership skills, and a commitment to community service. Through various activities and events, members engage in networking opportunities, participate in business-related projects, and develop skills that prepare them for future academic and career pursuits in business. NBHS emphasizes the importance of ethical practices and social responsibility in the business world.
Business Academy (Marketing Track)
The Business Academy with a marketing track offers students a specialized curriculum focused on the principles of marketing and business management. Participants engage in hands-on projects that explore topics such as market research, advertising, digital marketing, and consumer behavior. The academy emphasizes real-world applications through internships, guest speakers from the industry, and collaborative projects. Students develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills, preparing them for careers in marketing or further education in business fields. An accounting track is also available for students.
Work Based Learning
Work Based Learning provides students with practical experience in a professional setting, allowing them to apply classroom knowledge to real-world situations. This program focuses on internships, job shadowing, and mentorship opportunities, helping students gain valuable skills and insights into various career paths. Through guided experiences, participants develop workplace competencies, enhance their resumes, and build professional networks. Work Based Learning is an essential component of preparing students for future employment or higher education, fostering both personal and professional growth.
RUBY
RUBY is a club dedicated to supporting and empowering students from diverse backgrounds in their pursuit of business education and careers. The club offers mentorship, workshops, and networking opportunities to help members develop essential skills and confidence in the business environment. RUBY promotes inclusivity and diversity in business, encouraging members to share their unique perspectives and experiences. Through community service projects and collaborative initiatives, RUBY aims to create a supportive network that fosters growth and success for all members. Mrs. Drabik is the advisor for RUBY.
