My name is Mr. Donovan and this will be my 4th year teaching at BAC! I am so excited to continue to teach here with all the amazing students I have had in the past, I am always excited to meet new readers and writers and share my love of reading with them!

I have been married for 2 years and have an adorable little girl named Charlotte, who is 6 months old! At home, I like to watch Netflix, play games, and read a good book with my wife. I enjoy watching sports, especially hockey and football, even though both of my favorite teams are not doing well (NHL- Penguins, NFL- Jets). I also enjoy cooking as I used to be a cook for years before I turned to my passion for education. 

My goal as an educator is to make learning fun. Each lesson is a show as we compete with the ins and outs of a need to be constantly entertained. I strive for student engagement by allowing a classroom atmosphere for jokes, fun, but most importantly of all, collaboration! Students learning together, from each other, sharing work they are proud of, and allowing my students to share their "voice" as they achieve/maintain confidence in their work and their learning!
