Course Description

 

Anatomy is derived from the Greek word, anatomḗ, which translates to “I cut up” or “dissection”. Anatomy is the scientific study and understanding of the body’s structures. Physiology is the scientific study of the chemistry and physics of those structures and the body’s structures and how these structures work together to support the functions of life. 

 

This course will allow students a better understanding of the human body and how their decisions impact their overall health. The course will not emphasize the memorization of anatomical terms, instead the overall understanding of how the body works and application through case studies.
