Dear Parents/Guardians,

            Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! My name is Meghan Battle, and I will be your scholar’s 8th grade Math/Algebra 1 teacher. I am also the Beta Club and Tigerettes Dance Team sponsor. The purpose of this letter is to tell you a little about myself and my expectations in the classroom. I believe if we have a great line of communication and work together to empower your student, then we can help your child succeed and excel this year.

            I am an alumna of Xavier University of Louisiana with a Bachelor of Arts in Middle School Education. I am currently attending the University of Louisiana at Monroe for a Master of Education Degree in Educational Leadership. I am a certified Math teacher in the state of Louisiana with a science background. I was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. This is my fourth year as a teacher. I am truly excited and honored to be able to teach your scholar this school year.

As educators it is important that we build up our students, not just academically, but socially and emotionally as well. It is my goal that my students have a safe, comfortable, and effective learning environment. I want my students to be able to not only learn from myself, but from each other as well.

My expectations for my students include:
