Welcome to Kindergarten, my name is Mrs. Nia Sanders-Bowden, and I will be your child’s teacher this school year. However, you and your child can just call me Mrs. Nia! I am so excited to get to know you and your child this year. Here's a little information for you to get to know me. I was raised in and around St. John the Baptist parish and attended school here. I'm married and have 3 beautiful children. I have a bachelor's degree in education and have been teaching at La Place Elementary for 5 years. I love spending time wih my family, shopping, readng books and watching movies. This year our educational journey will be filled with lots of fun-filled adventures as we learn throughout the school year. I appreciate you for entrusting me with the opportunity to be able to instruct your child as they grow and learn this school year.
As our journey begins, I understand that it is important to stay connected to your child’s school, classroom, and learning experiences.
