Why should I join Navy Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (NJROTC)?

What's in it for me?

  

 In NJROTC, you will be given the chance to participate in your education and will learn to be a better citizen.

 

Does NJROTC push me to join the military?

   

Although you will learn about the different branches of the military, the goal of NJROTC is not to recruit you into the military service. Our goal to provide you with the tools and skills you can use to successfully complete high school and apply what you've learned to life after high school. 

 

What are some of the things I will learn?

 

You will learn an array of things however the focus is on teamwork, discipline and leadership.

You will also learn:

      - Effective communication through teamwork application. 

      - The importance of a healthy lifestyle and physical fitness.

      - Ways to resist negative peer pressure and ways to support others.

      - History in government, making you a better citizen.
