Struggling with a math course can be overwhelming. Find resources here, including answers to FAQ's.

1. Where can I find basic information about your expectations, grading policies, and contact information?

Please see my 2025-2026 Syllabus. Posted on Google Classroom.

 2. My student doesn't understand the material. What can I do?

Resources that are already available to your student.

The best place to start is ALWAYS the textbook.

HELP videos are posted with each set of homework activities.

Class examples are shown AND posted to Google Classroom

Any slide decks or notes used by teacher will be posted on GC.

3. What if my student needs an mcschools.net (district assigned) google account OR can't remember their password?

Use the link below to request a new account or a reset.

4. My student does not have a grade that is worthy of them. What can they do?

Encourage your student to take advantage of each opportunity available!

Some quizzes and tests are able to be challenged (retaken). Refer to the syllabus

Bonus opportunities are posted throughout the year.

OPTIONAL projects are sometimes posted that can replace the lowest test grade.

Completing homework assignment without help is THE BEST WAY to improve a grade.

5. My student has missed a lot of class and is behind (and the grade is awful). What can they do to fix BOTH problems?

First, please know that submitting work without understanding, just for points, is USELESS. This will not help your student. The understanding needs to be fixed AND the work needs to be submitted.

Your student needs to work with a classmate, review all support material on Google Classroom, and begin attempting missed work.

6. How often will my student have math homework?

Before your student steps on campus Monday morning, each week's assignment can be found on Google Classroom (organized by week). In a typical 5-day week, the entire assignment is due on Friday DURING CLASS. This is subject to change as needs change during the week.
