Goals and Objectives:

 

 

    This course will take students through the study of Civics. Civics is the study of government as well as the rights and responsibilities of citizens. Students will study the functions of government, the creation and purpose of laws, elections, rights, justice and injustice and more. 

 

    Students will be encouraged to take charge of their education and embrace the responsibility that comes with young adulthood. Collaboration is another focal point of this class, being able to work well with others is a crucial skill.

 

    Features of this class include; weekly current events, frequent usage of Google Classroom, focus on research and critical thinking, and a desire to learn how and why our country is the way it is.
