In our class we utilize the Houghton Mifflin Harcourt's, Into Literature, reading series. This series fosters a learning culture where students collaborate and compare, peer review and follow a learning mindset.  Within this series we will follow a program created by consultants, Kylene Beers & Robert Probst.  Beers & Probst introduce students to the concept of signposts which is something the author says in a text that helps you understand how characters are changing, how conflicts are resolved, and ulitmately, what theme- or lesson- the author is trying to convey.
