Our goal is to introduce students to the foundamentals of the beauty industry through classroom instructions and hands-on learning. Students develop foundational skills in safety and sanitation, infectation control, hair care, shampooing and conditioning, basic styling, and the proper use of professional tools and equipment.
The course also emphasixes professionalism, communication, workplace ethics, and exceptional customer service. Students learn how to build positive client relationships and deliver quality customer service while preparing to earn the National Retail Federation (NRF) Customer Service and Sales Certification, a nationally recognized work-based credential that demonstrates career readiness.
Upon completion, students will have the foundational knowledge and professional skill needed to continue their cosmetology education and pursue careers in the beauty industry.

Enrolled in the school district
16 years old
Completed 10th grade (11 credits)
