Roots & Shoots Club Information:

 

Please help us make a difference in the lives of people, animals, and the environment by joining Hillside's Roots & Shoots Club this year! Because Roots & Shoots is Hillside's school theme there are many different ways for you to become involved.  One important aspect of the program is the Roots & Shoots Club, which is comprised of HELP (Hillside's Environmental Leaders & Protectors) and SRS (Students Raising Students). HELP is the Roots & Shoots program dedicated to protecting animals and the environment.  SRS is the Roots & Shoots program committed to learning about the lives of children around the world and promoting the educational rights and aspirations of every child.  Specifically, our mission is to raise awareness about the impact of poverty on the lives of children in East Africa and to increase their educational opportunities through scholarships. Our mission is to create and maintain a native schoolyard habitat that attracts many different forms of wildlife.  The club will meet 1-2 times a month after school on Wednesdays.
