Welcome to Technology Education at HVCHS!
Mr. Sullivan teaches "Introduction to Furniture Design & Construction", "Advanced Furniture Design & Construction", and " Fine Woodworking". All woods classes meet in room 105 , our well-equipped woodshop here at HVCHS. Engineering courses and Robotics team meet in room 111, the updated, high tech prototyping lab. Each of the courses are fun and hands-on! During the courses, students will be exposed to an intensive, regimented curriculum pertaining to specific fields of Technology and modern industrial demands. Students should leave these classes as better consumers, "do-ers" of Technology, and world citizens. Attitudes and safety are stressed in all of the courses. Mr. Sullivan is also the retired (2024) lead faculty adviser for the high school's FIRST FRC robotics team! Participation in this highly competive team is an absolute must for any student planning to pursue engineering in college or career. None of the curricular courses come close in terms of rigor, breadth, depth or fun! Check back to this site for valuable links and updates with regards to specific programs. Mr. S is still happy to help any student interested in joining the team do so. Have a great year!
