In 2nd grade we will be taking a WELLNESS BREAK. 

Eating a snack is optional in my classroom.

What can students do during a wellness break:

  • eat a small nutritious snack* (We are a peanut/tree nut free classroom)
  • use the bathroom
  • get a drink/fill their reusable water bottle (recommended)
  • practice mindfulness
  • shop for books for their book bin
  • take a breath

 

*I do allow students to keep a water bottle on their desk (only filled with water though, if water spills it's an easy clean up). I encourage you to purchase a refillable water bottle and send it each day.
