Chorus Lyrics and Recordings

First Flakes

Like a silent movie show

Winter makes an entrance

Floating on the soft snow

And we watch in quiet awe,

Asking one another, “Did you just see what I saw?”

First flakes have finally come to town,

And I love to see them twirling swirling

First flakes are floating fluttering down,

And I love to see them curling whirling

Round, round, down, down-down

There’s confetti all around,

Covering up the roof-tops

Dressing up the bare ground

By the time we are awake

Everything is covered in miles and piles of snowflakes!

First flakes have finally come to town,

And I love to see them twirling swirling

First flakes are floating fluttering down,

And I love to see them curling whirling

Round, round, down, down-down

I love the hush that winter brings

To mountains and to cities

No matter where they come to rest,

Snowflakes are so pretty

First flakes have finally come to town,

And I love to see them twirling swirling

First flakes are floating fluttering down,

And I love to see them curling whirling

Down, down, down, down

Round and round and round

FIRST FLAKES!!

The Night Before Christmas

‘Twas the night before Christmas when all through the house,

Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse

All the stockings were hung by the chimney with care,

In hopes that Saint Nicholas soon would be there.

The moon on the back of the new fallen snow,

                                                               (The new fallen snow)

Gave a luster of midday to objects below

When what to my wondering eyes should appear

                                                                    (My eyes should appear)

But a miniature sleigh and eight tiny reindeer.

Up on the house-top reindeer pause

Out jumps good old Santa Claus.

Down through the chimney with lots of toys,

All for the little ones’ Christmas joys

He was dressed all in fur from his head to his foot,

And his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot.

A bundle of toys he had flung on his back,

And he looked like a peddler just opening his pack.

Jolly old Saint Nicholas,

Lean your ear this way

Don’t you tell a single soul

What I’m going to say

Christmas Eve has come at last,

Now you dear old man,

Whisper what you’ve brought for me.

Tell me if you can.

He spoke not a word but went straight to his work,

And filled all the stockings the turned with a jerk.

And I heard him exclaim as he drove out of sight,

“Merry Christmas to all,

                                       (Merry Christmas to all)

“Merry Christmas to all,

                                       (Merry Christmas to all)

“Merry Christmas to all, and to all a goodnight!”

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Santa Claus Boogie

Who’s that up there in the sky?

Hey, that’s Santa flying by!

Rudy and the reindeer by his side,

Doing the Santa Claus Boogie!

Laughing, singing, all the way

On this happy holiday!

It’s not work, hey it’s all play

Doing the Santa Claus Boogie!

You can trust the man in red.

He’ll do everything he said.

Sleigh’s all loaded and the work is done.

Time to fly and have some fun.

Now, look up quick or they’ll be gone.

They’ve been waiting all year long.

In the sky’s where they belong

Doing the Santa Claus Boogie!

Santa Claus Boogie!

Santa Claus Boogie!

Santa Claus Boogie!

Boogie woogie woogie all night long!

Santa Claus Boogie!

Santa Claus Boogie!

Santa Claus Boogie!

Boogie woogie woogie till the break of dawn!

And it’s up, up and away

Up there in the Milky Way

Doing the Santa Claus,

Santa Claus Boogie Woogie!

Boogie Woogie!

Boogie Woogie Woogie

All night long!

Give Us Hope

Listen to the sound of my voice

Can you feel the beat of my heart?

Listen to the questions I have

Listen to me.

It’s all very simple

To see what we need.

Give us hope.

My voice is calling.

Can you see?

Look in my eyes.

Can you feel?

My hand is reaching

Give us hope

And we’ll show you the way.

Listen to the sound of my voice (calling)

Can you feel the beat of my heart? (pounding)

Listen to the questions I have (listen)

Listen to me.

We are the future.

Help us believe.

Give us hope.

My voice is calling.

Can you see?

Look in my eyes.

Can you feel?

My hand is reaching

Give us hope

And we’ll show you the way.

Take my hand

Now look in my eyes

Tell me what you see

Give us hope.

My voice is calling.

Can you see?

Look in my eyes.

Can you feel?

My hand is reaching

Give us hope

And we’ll show you the way (2x)

Show you the way (my voice is calling)

Show you the way (my voice is calling)

Show you the way
