Grading Scale 

 

What does each one mean? 

A = 90 - 100  EXCELLENT!

You completely understand the lessons. 

Your homework and test scores are nearly perfect. 

Keep doing exactly what you are doing!

 

B = 80 - 89 GOOD JOB! 

You understand almost everything. 

You make a few small mistakes, but you are doing well. 

With a little extra practice you can easily reach an A. 

 

C = 70 - 79 AVERAGE/OKAY

You understand the basics, but you are missing some important details. 

You might need to study a bit more before big tests. 

Do not hesitate to ask for help. 

 

D = 60 - 69 DANGER ZONE 

You are barely passing this class. 

You are missing a lot of key ideas and probably need extra help. 

It is time to talk to your teacher and ask for help.

 

F = 0 - 59 FALLING BEHIND 

You are not passing the class. 

You might be missing a lot of homework or failing too many quizzes. 

You need to make a plan right away to bring your grades up.
