Thanks for stopping by to meet

Mrs. Freda!

I am so glad you stopped by! This is my twelfth year in third grade, and my sixth year at Memorial School! I am very excited for another terrific year. I taught Kindergarten for two years prior to that, at Taylor St. School.  Before being here in Washington, my teaching career was in Wyckoff, NJ for eleven years.  I attended Gettysburg College for my undergraduate degree in English and Education, then I graduated from Ramapo College with my Masters in Educational Technology. I love to learn new fun ways to teach using technology.

My family is filled with HUGE hockey fans--in fact, my family and I go to stick time together at the rink whenever we can! That's where this picture was taken. Both of my sons play travel ice hockey. Mr. Freda plays hockey, too! We love to play and watch all different kinds of sports.  That's why I picked "Sports" for our classroom theme. I think that no matter what sport or game you like to play for fun, you learn to work with others, you learn how to help other people, and you are able to gain confidence in yourself.  All skills needed to be a successful student. What are some of your favorite games to play or watch?

We also love reading books and playing outside whenever we can.  We will spend the beginning of the year reading some of my favorite picture books. What do you and your family like doing together?
