Where is homework posted?
Homework assignments are written on the chalkboard in each classroom every day. Students are expected to copy all assignments into their agenda books every day. Click on the Homework Calendar to see daily assignments. These posted assignments are subject to last-minute change.
While we are in hybrid/blended teaching and learning, all homework/classwork assignments will be posted on Google classroom.
Homework is important.
I feel that homework is important because it is a valuable tool in helping students make the most of their experience in school. Homework is assigned because it reinforces what has been learned in class, provides practice for skills, and prepares students for upcoming lessons. In addition, homework teaches responsibility and helps students develop positive study habits. The district's homework policy states that homework assignments will not be given for weekends and holidays.
What if homework is late?
I expect that assignments be completed on time. Homework will only be accepted on the day it is due. If a student is absent or if an extenuating circumstance exists, late assignments will be accepted. This needs to be verified by a note from a parent or guardian.
How can parents help?
All students will be required to copy assignments from the chalkboard into their agenda book. Please check your child’s agenda book daily and make sure all work has been completed.
