LANGUAGE ARTS

Reading (Language Arts Binder) 

We cover four units in Reading throughout the year. Each unit is 9 weeks long. The units are as follows: Hurricanes, The Lightning Thief, American Revolution, & our Application Unit. 

Assignments: Students will have a Unit Reading Log and a Unit Reading Packet that should remain in their binder. These are used in class daily for each lesson. 

Homework: Homework will be on an “as necessary” basis. If an assignment is not completed in class, it may be given as a homework assignment. Otherwise, homework might be to study for an upcoming test. 

Test(s):  Students will be given advance notice as well as will be allowed to use the Reading material provided for that test content.
