Dear Parents/Guardians,                                                   

        My name is Andrea Bongiovanni, and I am excited to be your child's 2nd-grade teacher. This is my 12th year back at JFK after taking an extended maternity leave to raise my own two children.  I look forward to working with you and your children to help them reach their full potential.  Teaching is not just a job to me but a passion.

 

        I am not only a teacher but a parent as well.  I have two children, ages 19 and 22.  My son is a 2nd year student at Rutgers University, and my daughter is a graduate student at Towson University.  I believe it is important that parents and teachers work together as a team to provide the best educational experience for a child.  I want my enthusiasm and love for learning to be a model for my students.  School should be a place where students love to go and are excited about learning.  My goal is to create a safe and positive learning environment.  I will do my best to make learning fun and interesting for everyone.
