Hi!, My name is Krisi Key, I am an 8th Grade Study Skills Teacher at Martin Luther King Jr. Junior High. This is my 7th year at MLK and I LOVE my Wildcats!!

 

After graduating from LA Tech in 2009 with a Bachelor's Degree in English Education, I began teaching in 2010 at Farmerville High School as an English Teacher. I taught 9th, 10th, and 11th grade English, 11th grade honors English, and 9th and 10th resource English classes. 

 

I took a year off from teaching after 3 years in Farmerville then came here to MLK. While at MLK I received my Master's Degree in Special Education from LA Tech in 2016. I have taught both 7th and 8th grade ELA classes, including honors classes. In 2018 I moved to the Special Education Department and have been teaching Study Skills Classes since. 

 

I am currently working on my Doctorate Degree at ULM and working toward my Educational Diagnostician Licence. I am almost finished with both, one more class for my addition licences and only that pesky dissertation paper to write for my doctorate. 

 

When I am not working, which is nearly never, I am a mother, grandmother, and wife. I love singing, crocheting, playing with my grandbabies, playing with my dogs, cats, and various other pets, or riding motorcycles with my husband. 

 

I love each of your children like my own and hope to help them all be the best versions of themselves!!
