Classroom Rules and Expectations
BEHAVIOR EXPECTATIONS
We have high expectations for our students. All students should work to the best of their potential and contribute in a positive manner to our classroom. The following is a list of rules for 2nd Graders:
⦁ Follow directions quickly.
⦁ Work quietly and play safely.
⦁ Raise your hand to speak or leave your seat.
⦁ Make smart choices.
⦁ Be your best self, respectful and kind to everyone.
CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS
We spend several weeks working on class expectations and positive behavior. The students are required to be accountable for their actions. Positive behavior is acknowledged and encouraged daily. Negative behavior is corrected through student conferences in which solutions, good decision-making and problem solving skills are developed and reinforced.
I will communicate with you about any concerns I have regarding your child’s behavior using Class Dojo, telephone calls and/or conferences. A weekly conduct report will be sent home on Wednesdays. Weekly conduct is a grade!
