Welcome to Second Grade! My name is Ms. Julia Jason, and I am excited to be your child's Math and Science teacher this school year. I look forward to partnering with you to make this a fun, engaging, and successful year of learning.
Our second-grade team is committed to helping every student grow academically, socially, and emotionally while reaching their individual goals. We believe every child can succeed, and we will provide the support, encouragement, and opportunities they need to thrive.
This year will be filled with exciting learning experiences that promote curiosity, creativity, and confidence. Your child will learn in a classroom that is safe, caring, and welcoming, where they are encouraged to ask questions, take risks, and celebrate their accomplishments.
Our daily lessons are thoughtfully planned to build independence, self-confidence, and teamwork. Students will participate in whole-group, small-group, partner, and hands-on learning activities that keep them actively engaged. Through these experiences, they will strengthen important skills in mathematics, science, reading, writing, and other subject areas.
In Math, we will use Eureka Math², and in Science, we will use PhD Science. These high-quality curricula encourage students to think critically, solve problems, and make meaningful connections to real-world learning. Throughout the year, you will have many opportunities to see your child's progress and celebrate their growth.
I am truly excited to work with you and your child this year. Together, we can make second grade a positive and rewarding experience.
